Many images of the explosion in downtown Nashville, Tennessee, USA, are circulating strongly on social media, portraying the terrifying destructive power.
Dozens of buildings were seriously damaged and surrounding trees collapsed in the incident identified by US authorities as “intentional action.”

Before that, the police received information in the area where the shooting occurred. When they arrived, they found a dedicated picnic car parked with a loud warning sound: “Evacuate now. There is a bomb. There is a bomb installed in this car and it will explode in 15 minutes.”

At the scene, the police discovered some suspicious remains of the human body part. It is unclear whether it was the body of the attacker or an innocent victim.

“This morning’s attack was meant to cause chaos and fear during the Christmas season of peace and hope. But the people of Nashville proved once again that nothing could shake the spirit of our city,” the mayor said. John Cooper confirmed after issuing a curfew for the area.
