For solar energy projects developed after December 31, 2020, electricity units will not record electricity generated on the grid and will not purchase electricity without a new decision from the Prime Minister.

Currently, the Department of Electricity and Renewable Energies (Ministry of Industry and Commerce) is working with consulting units to study the model, scale and corresponding purchase and sale price of electricity for each type of rooftop solar energy (DMMN) and it is expected that in the first quarter of 2021, report to the Ministry of Industry and Commerce for consideration and presentation to the Prime Minister on the policies to promote solar energy on rooftops for the next period.
