Scotland had even closed its border with the rest of the United Kingdom before the launch of the crown variant, according to the AFP news agency.
In France, citizens and residents of the European Union (EU) can move from the UK to France on December 23, provided they test negative for the corona virus.
The decision helped a number of truck drivers who had been stranded for the past two days due to the ban to return home.
Meanwhile, all Britons, except truck, bus, train drivers and those living in the EU, have not yet been able to enter France.
Germany still bans entry to all passengers from the UK and South Africa (who have also registered a new variant of the virus) until January 6, 2021. All immigrants must now have a negative test result.
In Ireland, all flights from the UK are banned until December 31st and “no one, regardless of nationality, should not travel from the UK by air or sea.”
All arrivals to Ireland between December 8 and December 8 must be quarantined by staying in only one room for 14 days.
In the Netherlands, although the travel ban has been lifted, all passengers, including EU citizens, must have a negative PCR test result before departure. They also need to be quarantined for 10 days. The Netherlands has registered a new variant of the corona virus.
Spain and Portugal also suspend flights to the UK. Madrid will only allow citizens and residents of this country to return from England until January 5, 2021.
As a country with a large community living in the UK, Poland has banned all flights from England to this country.
Hong Kong has also banned all flights from the UK, extending the medical monitoring quarantine of British arrivals in the past two weeks.
Italy bans flights from the UK until January 6 and bans entry to people who have been in the UK for 14 days. A new variant of the corona virus was recently discovered in a person returning to Italy from England.
Russia stopped flights from the UK for a week. Finland and Austria stopped flying for two weeks, and Switzerland only paused until further notice and required that passengers from the UK and South Africa be medically isolated.
The Baltic states of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, as well as Hungary and Luxembourg stopped flights from the UK, while the Balkan countries such as Croatia, Macedonia and Albania stopped flying until January 31, 2021 as Bulgaria.
Turkey has stopped flights from the UK, Denmark, the Netherlands and South Africa. Canada banned all flights from the UK for 72 hours, requiring screening of UK visitors.
Middle Eastern countries such as Saudi Arabia and Oman have announced that they will completely close their borders for at least a week to prevent the epidemic.
Israel announced an entry ban on foreign nationals from the UK, Denmark and South Africa, while Jordan will ban flights from the UK for two weeks like Iran.
Hong Kong: 2 students suspected of having a corona virus variant in the UK
According to Reuters, a new variant of the corona virus that is spreading rapidly in the UK appears to have infected two students who returned from the UK in December.
The Hong Kong Special Zone Health Agency announced the incident today 23-12. Consequently, virus samples from two students appear to match the new variant of the corona virus found in the UK. However, according to the Hong Kong authorities, there will be further analysis to confirm this.
Hong Kong ordered 22.5 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
