In determining Le Xuan Giang as the mastermind and leader in ordering defendants from Viet Link Company to commit fraud, the representative of the Prosecutor’s Office asked the Court to punish this defendant with a life sentence.

Specifically, the defendant Le Xuan Giang (Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Linkages Company) was proposed for life imprisonment for the crime of “fraudulent appropriation of property”.
With the same crime as above, the defendant Le Van Tu (Lien Viet CEO) was recommended 19-20 years in prison; Nguyen Thi Thuy (Deputy Director General): 17 to 19 years in prison; Le Thanh Son: 14-15 years in prison; Trinh Xuan Sang: 15-16 years in prison; Nguyen Xuan Truong: 12-13 years in prison and Vu Thi Hong Dung: 12-13 years in prison.
According to the representative of VKS, the defendant Le Xuan Giang is the person who gave up 100% of the capital to establish the BQP company. From March 2014 to November 2015, taking advantage of Viet Link Company’s license to trade multi-level goods with goods produced by BQP Company, Le Xuan Giang and the defendants using deceptive tricks. and providing false information that leads investors to believe that Lien Viet is a subsidiary of BQP Company under the Ministry of Defense.
Subsequently, the defendant Giang asked a monk from Ho Chi Minh City to falsify the Prime Minister’s certificate of merit and implement a series of programs, offering great promotions such as paying 7 million VND and receiving more than 400 million; Investors who mobilize many people to engage in multi-tiered businesses will be rewarded with 1 billion VND worth cars or VND 1.8 billion worth of houses.
As of November 2015, Le Xuan Giang and his accomplices had attracted more than 68,000 victims in 49 provinces and cities; Its revenue amounted to almost 2,100 billion VND.
The prosecution alleged that after the actual cost was roughly half of the profits, the defendants were subject to criminal liability in the amount of more than $ 1.1 billion.
According to the VKS representative, in the case, Le Xuan Giang played the role of brains and leadership by ordering the other defendants to carry out all fraud and appropriation of money from the victims.
The defendants Le Van Tu and Nguyen Thi Thuy are the helpers and organizers of the fraudulent acts under the direction of Le Xuan Giang. The remaining 4 defendants have a direct role in enticing the victim to join the multilevel model.
Regarding civil liability, the Prosecutor’s Office, based on the files and judicial procedures, proposed to the court to testify Le Xuan Giang to compensate more than 800,000 million VND for more than 6,000 victims; Nguyen Thi Thuy and the remaining 5 defendants had to return the total amount of more than 132 billion that were illegally occupied for fraud.
