Two Chinese-flagged fishing boats invaded the waters of Thai Binh and when the squadron of the Border Guard 2nd Squadron approached, they fled.

On December 22, the Thai Binh Border Guard representative said that around 9:30 am on December 21, fishermen announced that there were two foreign fishing boats, flying Chinese flags, profoundly violating the sovereignty of the waters of Thai Binh, the Ba Lat Estuary road about 15 nautical miles northeast.

The Thai Binh Border Guard Command, reported to the Border Guard Command and the Thai Binh Province People’s Committee, organized the fleet of ships from the 2nd Squadron to enter service.

At 12 o’clock on the same day, the competent forces detected two foreign ships operating about 2 nautical miles from the Thai Binh gas platform to the southeast. The boat is green and white, about 40 m long, 8-10 m wide, in the shape of a hammer.

After almost 3 hours of qualifying, the ships of Squad 2 reached the area of ​​foreign fishing boats. Seeing the ships of the 2nd Squadron from afar, the foreign fishing boats immediately fled. The competent forces emit loudspeakers to expel foreign ships from the waters of Vietnam.

Colonel Nham Xuan Tinh, deputy commander of the Thai Binh Border Guard, said that at the end of the year, the sea monsoons are tough, so Vietnamese fishermen rarely go fishing at sea. Therefore, foreign ships take advantage of the deep penetration into Vietnamese waters to capture and steal aquatic products.

From the beginning of 2020 until now, the Thai Binh Border Guard has received dozens of news from fishermen; from there, mobilize means of allying with fishermen to swiftly eject foreign fishing vessels from Vietnamese waters.

The Thai Binh Border Guard Command suggested that the fishermen go to sea to do business, keep the spirit of vigilance, promote the role of “Model Ships and Self-Managed Ships”, unite, help each other to do business in the sea ​​and in time to notify the Border Guard of all acts of violation of the territorial sea by foreign ships.
