Although the project is in progress, MCC has halted construction, delaying the project for more than 10 years, but TISCO has paid the contractor more than $ 107 million, equivalent to VND 2,064 million.

MCC has imported and supplied around 3,500 tons of equipment and machinery to the site, but identified many series of equipment that are not according to specifications, with differences in origin, supplier name, origin, information. Technical data… The long delay of the project has caused a loss of more than 830 billion VND for this project, which is interest on bank loans.

The Government Inspector’s conclusion on this project also previously indicated that MCC provided 42 cars worth more than $ 1 million without import taxes, but all of these vehicles had differences in discharge rates. between the documents that TISCO requests for registration and the results of the inspection of the Registration Department. Of these, there are 29 dump trucks capable of hauling 16 tons / vehicle. However, each of the test results contained only about 9.4 tons.

MCC also delivered 5 locomotives worth $ 5.4 million that did not meet specifications, suppliers under signed contracts … In total, MCC delivered machinery and equipment with differences in export. Origin, specifications, inconsistent with Vietnamese regulations are worth up to 38.8 million dollars. Currently, some equipment provided has been rusted, damaged, severely affecting the quality and progress of the project.
