The Propaganda Board of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee has just decided to suspend the post of deputy chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Party history compilation board for Cang to serve in the investigation.
Before that, on December 16, 2020, the police agency investigating the Ho Chi Minh City Police issued a decision to prosecute the defendant, arrest arrest warrant, search warrant for whereabouts and workplace with Mr. Tat Thanh Cang. former permanent undersecretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee – on the crime of “violating the regulations on the administration and use of state property, causing useless losses.”
The above decisions and orders were approved by the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Prosecutor’s Office on the same day. On the night of December 16, the investigating agency made the decision to prosecute the accused and executed an arrest warrant with Mr. Cang.
Prior to the prosecution, the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Council temporarily suspended the membership of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Council for the 2016-2021 term with Mr. Cang.
On December 26, 2018, the IX Central Conference, XII term approved the discipline of Mr. Tat Thanh Cang by removing the member of the XII Central Committee of the Party, the Permanent Undersecretary of the Party Committee, a member of the Standing Committee. HCM City Party Committee for the 2015-2020 period, because there are very serious deficiencies and violations.
