During the investigation, the Hai Ba Trung District Police identified Dang Nhat Minh Quan (SN 2001; residing at No. 2 Lane 302 Tran Nguyen Han, Niem Nghia Ward, Le Chan District, Hai Phong) with Nguyen Van Xuan (unknown identity, background) from Niem Nghia – Hai Phong bus station to Hanoi to steal property. The two men then went to a shopping center on Ba Trieu Street and entered Zara’s store to steal property. When he filled his bag, Quan left the store when the security guard continued to check the bag and discovered that there were still 4 Zara products attached to the protection chip.
Seeing that he was exposed, Xuan quickly escaped.
At the police station, Quan claimed to have committed two similar robberies at the Zara store in the previous mall with 2 objects named Phuong, Vui (unknown identity, background) But Quan did not know any information about his accomplices.
