On December 16, Korean media reported that a 70-year-old couple had been administratively sanctioned for arriving in front of Bi Rain’s home: Kim Tae Hee broke down, prompting noisy people to claim more debts. 20 years ago the father of the male singer. Specifically, Judge Yoo Chang Hoon of the Seoul Western District Court sentenced her 79-year-old husband and 73-year-old wife to 700,000 won (14.8 million dong) each. The total fine for the couple is 29.6 million VND.
In court, the elderly couple accused Bi Rain’s father of buying rice debt from his shop in Yongsan District, Seoul, more than 20 years ago, but they have not returned the money since. Therefore, the couple went to Bi Rain’s house, where the male singer lives with his wife and children and his father to collect the debt but they refused to comply. So they yelled, “Pay for the rice,” broke the front door, broke the lock for 200,000 won (VND 4.2 million), and entered the lawn in front of the singer’s house.
The elderly couple who came to the door of Bi Rain’s house, Kim Tae Hee, shattered and screaming, were sentenced to almost 30 million VND by the court.
Previously, in 2018, the elderly couple published an article in which they denounced that Bi Rain’s parents were in debt. They said the cult singer’s parents used to own a rice bakery and bought rice worth 25 million won (almost VND 530 million) but did not pay. Rain’s parents promised to pay them back, but they did not keep the promise.
At the time, Bi Rain’s representative said that he would be liable if the debt is real. However, the accuser was unable to present a handwritten debit note or any specific documents, records or evidence of the debt. Bi Rain’s mother, who is believed to be a borrower, has passed away since 2000, so she cannot verify.
In September 2019, the husband filed a lawsuit against Bi Rain’s father, demanding compensation of 50 million won (more than 1 billion dong), but lost the lawsuit. Bi Rain filed a lawsuit against this person in February 2020 và The court also handled in April. The court said: “The plaintiff (Bi Rain) has suffered considerable mental pain, but I do not want to punish the person who caused the crime.” However, it appears that the couple above were not satisfied with the court’s ruling and continued to ruin Bi Rain’s home.
