According to Dang Vu Tuan Son, president of the Vietnam Astronomy and Astronomy Association, in fact, people can observe this shooting star from the first nights of December, but with only a few meteors. And the most ideal time is the night of December 13, the morning of December 14.
At this time, the sky was not obstructed by moonlight, creating the conditions to admire the phenomenon.
A meteorologist said the weather tonight is less cloudy, which is favorable for tracking the largest and most beautiful meteor shower of the year.
To observe this amazing astronomical phenomenon, it is necessary to determine its central area. It is the constellation Gemini (widely known as Gemini). At night, the constellation Gemini can be seen rising from 20 o’clock in the east and very high in the middle of the night, before gradually moving west.
If it is not polluted by dust and light and the sky is not cloudy, you will see the position of this constellation Gemini through its two brightest stars, Pollux and Castor.
When observing the meteor shower, viewers do not need to use any optical assistive equipment, binoculars or telescopes, but only with the naked eye.

The Geminids are always at the top of the meteor showers of the year due to their brightness and frequency. It is derived from a 3200 Phaethon object. Scientists believe that this object is the nucleus of a comet left over from the trip and that the solar wind blew it out of the outer ice. In the past, 3,200 Phaethon moved through Earth’s orbit, leaving behind a streak of rock dust.
