Thousands of people gathered around the Freedom Plaza building near the White House on December 12. Some fights occurred between the crowd of protesters and the protesters’ protesters, according to AFP. The police work to prevent the groups from fighting each other.
At least 6 people were arrested on December 12 and 5 people were arrested the day before for being involved in the skirmish.
“We will not give up. I think there is a great injustice against the American people,” a protester named Luke Wilson told AFP.
The protesters did not explain why they thought the 3.11 presidential elections were fraudulent.
However, like President Trump, protesters denounce popular vote fraud. Some protesters said that “there is a foreign intervention.” Others point out that vote counting software has eliminated millions of popular votes for President Trump.
“Thousands of people are gathering in Washington DC to stop election theft,” Trump commented on Twitter.
This is the latest failure in a series of demands by Trump and Republicans to reverse the election results, but most have been rejected by the state court.
