Ha TinhBus driver Phan Van Chien, 40, passed the intersection without obeying the traffic signal and slowed down, killing an 11-year-old boy on a bicycle.

On 12/12, Chien, who resides in Tran Phu neighborhood, Ha Tinh city, was prosecuted by Thach Ha district police and banned from leaving the residence for the crime. Violation of road traffic regulations, according to article 260 of the Penal Code of 2015.

According to the results of the investigation, at around 18:38 on December 1, Chien drove a bus from Ha Tinh to National Highway 1A, in the direction of Vinh City (Nghe An) to Ha Tinh. At the intersection of the national highway with the inter-village and inter-commune road in Thong Nhat Village, Viet Tien Commune, Thach Ha District beat an 11-year-old boy who was riding a bicycle in front.

The blow caused the teenager to fall to the road, he died, the bicycle was damaged.

In the investigation, police accused Chien of not obeying traffic signals and slowing down to ensure safety when driving the bus through the intersection in rainy conditions, limited visibility, causing an accident.
