According to representatives of the Railway Project Management Board (Ministry of Transportation), the units involved mobilized 700 human resources on the first day of trial operation of the entire Cat Linh – Ha Dong railway.
The test operation of 13 ships is monitored and overseen by ACT’s Safety Assessment Consultant, the Rail Project Management Board (investor representative), the State Acceptance Council and the Trung National General Contractor. Hanoi Railway Company Limited (Hanoi Metro) is the main operator.
As previously planned, on the first day of test operation, the Hanoi Metro mobilized 49 train drivers to operate 9 trains. The OCC Operations Center has more than 30 operators and each station has about 5 employees on duty.
Within 20 days, the related units will coordinate to operate, monitor, monitor and evaluate the activities of 13 Cat Linh – Ha Dong ships. Hours of operation every day from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. The frequency of trains is divided into peak and non-peak hours. Peak hours (7:30 – 9 am, 5:30 – 7:00 pm) will run with a frequency of 6 minutes / trip and off-peak hours are 9 minutes / trip. At each station, the train will stop for 30 to 45 seconds for passengers to get on and off. The station’s loudspeaker will convey the message to passengers just as it does in commercial operations.
According to calculations, the trains will make a total of 287 trips on the first day of test operation. Each train will carry out about 32 flights / day.
Previously, Metro Hanoi Company gave nearly 700 employees to operate the Cat Linh – Ha Dong route to practice and rehearse situations on the route.
To assess the safety and serve the test and acceptance, the Cat Linh – Ha Dong Railway will test the entire system for 20 consecutive days, starting 12/12.
The 13 trains of the project are tested, starting from the starting point of Yen Nghia Station (Ha Dong District), going over 13 km high to Cat Linh (Dong Da District). Average train speed of 35 km / h (80 km / h design), travel time from first station to last station is 30 minutes. Each train has 4 carriages that transport more than 900 people.
The train will operate according to the train operation diagram for the French general contractor and consultant to evaluate and verify the safety and accuracy of the system.
Based on the results of the trial operation, in the first quarter of 2021, the joint venture of French independent consultants plans to issue a system safety certificate for the project, then the Ministry of Transport (the investor) will take over the work. presented and delivered to Hanoi for management and operation.
