According to a statement posted on Mr. Paxton’s website on December 11 (US time), 6 states of Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, and Utah have officially participated in the above lawsuit. “To restore confidence in the integrity of our electoral process, we must constantly protect electoral security and stop those who renounce our Constitution in their own interest. Texas is proud to have the support of these states to illuminate justice, ”Mr. Paxton said in the statement.

On September 9, attorneys for all six states, along with 11 other states led by Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt, issued a statement asking Supreme Court justices to accept Texas’ lawsuit, according to Reuters. Today on Twitter, President Donald Trump wrote: “19 states are fighting for us.”
Then President Trump continued on Twitter: “Why is the media reporting fake news? The FBI and DOJ (US Department of Justice) didn’t mention (former Vice President) Biden’s issue before the election. Well, we won this election anyway, with 75,000,000 votes. ” Trump also wrote: “Great support from across the country. What we ask is encouragement and wisdom from those who are about to make one of the most important decisions in the history of our country.

Meanwhile, the four aforementioned states proposed on December 10 to the Supreme Court to dismiss the Texas lawsuit. On the same day, KMGH-TV reported that 23 states had opposed this lawsuit.
Former Vice President Joe Biden is believed to have garnered a total of 306 electoral votes, surpassing the number needed to be elected by 270 votes, while President Trump has only 232 votes. If the results are canceled in the previous four states, with a total of 62 electoral votes, Mr. Biden will not obtain the number of electoral votes necessary to win the election of 270 votes.
In the event that no candidate has obtained 270 electoral votes, the United States House of Representatives will hold the presidential election. Each state gets one vote and the candidate with 26 votes wins. Groups of congressmen from the lower house of each state will meet to decide how to vote their only vote.
