Previously, according to the Hanoi Center for Disease Control, the male patient from 1366 was a Libyan diplomat living and working in Vietnam. On November 12, the patient flew to Turkey and stayed there until November 19 to pick up his family (including his wife and four children) to Vietnam on flight QR976, in transit in Doha (Qatar), landing at the airport. . Noi Bai at 6:45 p.m. on November 19.

Because the patient is a diplomat, the patient and his family are isolated in his place of residence (room 2402, Court of Diplomatic Corps N01T4, ​​Xuan Tao Room, Bac Tu Liem District). Just at night, when the family of this official returned to the town, the Bac Tu Liem District Medical Center took the first sample and the results were negative for 6 people.

On November 30, the patient felt tired, stressed, uncomfortable, his blood pressure measured 140/90 mmHg (in a context of arterial hypertension and cardiovascular disease), he was transferred to the General Hospital by the Hanoi 115 Emergency Center. Duc Giang examined and treated by specialized vehicles. At Duc Giang General Hospital, patients are examined and treated in the isolation room for Covid-19 treatment; 4 personnel in contact with the patient using protective clothing, masks and veils. Then, at 5:00 pm on December 1, this person was transferred to Hanoi by Emergency Center 115 to continue isolation at his residence.

On December 3, the patient took a second sample and it tested positive for SARS-CoV-2. Later, the patient was transferred to the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases 2 for isolation and treatment. Test results for the patient’s wife and 4 children were negative for SARS-CoV-2. Currently, the patient’s wife and children are being transferred to isolation at the Hanoi Police Hospital. In the patient’s residential area and the surrounding area, sprayed with disinfection.

So far, the country has registered 1,366 cases of Covid-19, of which 693 cases were caused by domestic infection, the rest were imported cases, immediately isolated. Currently, the number of cured cases is 1,220; the number of deaths was 35 cases.
