“We are winning and eventually we will win this election,” Republican President Trump said at a rally in Valdosta, Georgia, AFP reported.
“The election was rigged. It was a prearranged agreement,” Trump said of Democratic President-elect Joe Biden’s victory.
Although Covid-19 cases increased nationally, very few people wore masks when participating in the rally and followed social distance measures, according to AFP.
Trump went to Georgia to campaign for two Republican candidates in the United States Senate.
Georgia will witness a dramatic race on May 5, 2121 between two Republican Senators Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue with two Democrats, the Rev. Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff. This sprint will determine which party controls the United States Senate.
On the other hand, Mr. Biden won the state of Georgia. According to Politico, President Trump asked Georgia Governor Brian Kemp (Republican Party) to reverse the election results in the state. However, Mr. Kemp vehemently rejected this request.
President Trump repeatedly emphasized that he did not accept Biden’s defeat and did not abandon allegations of voter fraud, which have been rejected by many state courts.
