President Trump lost in Nevada when he lost 33,596 votes to Joe Biden. The results were certified by the state supreme court and Governor Steve Sisolak last week, who gave Biden six electoral votes.
During the Feb. 3 trial, Trump’s campaign team attorney Jesse Binnall told Judge James Russell that there was evidence that the dead cast 1,506 votes, with more than 42,200 voters voting twice. About 20,000 voters voted but had no address in Nevada and 2,468 voters changed addresses to another state but still voted in Nevada, according to Fox News.
Binnall quoted a witness as saying that election data in the Las Vegas metropolitan area stored on an unsecured portable drive had been tampered with.
Attorney Binnall demanded to declare President Trump’s victory or cancel the election results and prevent Democratic voters from voting for Biden.
Kevin Hamilton, a lawyer representing six Democratic Party voters in Nevada, said President Trump did not provide concrete evidence, but only the indictment, according to the AP. Mr. Hamilton said the election was fair, the votes were counted correctly, and Mr. Biden had won, so the petitioner should agree.
Judge Russell said he would consider all the evidence and issue a ruling on April 4. The Electoral College will officially vote for the winner of the elections on December 14.
