A leader of the People’s Protection Institute in Phu My Town, Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province confirmed with Online youth, Mr. Le Thai Thien was arrested and sought accommodation for two crimes of “usury” and “money laundering”. The detention period is 2 months. These orders have been approved by the Phu My Town People’s Protection Institute.

According to the investigation, before that, Mr. Le Thai Thien was charged with “usury”, with an interest rate of 3.5% / day, equivalent to 105% / month. Mr Thien’s borrowers also accused him of intimidation, forcing them to pay interest and authorize land or give him “red books”.
