On November 30, a spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry said that four officials working for US NGOs would be banned from entering China, Hong Kong and Macau.
In early November, the United States imposed sanctions on four Chinese officials. The United States accuses Beijing of “act of repression” in Hong Kong.
Four Chinese officials sanctioned by the United States will be banned from entering the United States and blocked assets because they are related to Hong Kong’s security laws.
In addition, the United States also imposed sanctions on the head of the Hong Kong Special Zone, Lam Trinh Nguyet Nga. Ms. Lam was barred from entering the United States. All his transactions with US organizations were “frozen.”
Recently, Ms. Lam said that “the cash is full of houses” when US sanctions make it impossible for the Head of the Hong Kong Special Zone to open a bank account.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Hoa Xuan Oanh said the US sanctions were “brutal interference in China’s internal affairs,” forcing the country to act in response.
“The United States intervenes roughly in Hong Kong affairs and China’s internal affairs. The United States’ action has seriously violated international law and fundamental norms. China strongly opposes and condemns such action,” said Ms. Hoa.
“Hong Kong is an inside job of China. The United States should stop interfering in Hong Kong and should abstain. Don’t go any deeper and the wrong way, ”said spokesman Hoa.
Previously, China Daily reported, US officials inspected 21 Chinese ships and 16 planes as they were in transit to the country. The Chinese crew and crew members were asked and had to answer a series of “politically sensitive” questions.
“The United States is inciting ideological confrontation and disrupting normal civil activities between the two countries. The US action is a serious political confrontation with China, ”Ms. Hoa said.
According to Ms. Hoa, China will continue to respond if the United States continues its “bad deeds”.
