All operations and surgical techniques must be performed correctly. Just making a small mistake is to stop hoping to save the patient’s life.

Without surgery, CYF (13 years old, Taiwanese) will almost die, and if it is operated, the survival rate is also negligible. The decision to have surgery for you is a great challenge for the team of doctors.
Blood vessels about to explode
According to parents who came to work for an extended period in Long An Province, one day CYF suddenly had a headache, vomited and was in a deep coma. Realizing that their son’s health was critical, his family decided to take him to the hospital.
The CT scan results showed that his brain was sharp, he had a large hematoma in the brain, ventricle due to ruptured brain aneurysm and brain aneurysm, the death rate was almost 100%.
“In Mr. F.’s case, with or without surgery, the death rate is almost 100%. The patient’s vascular aneurysm and brain aneurysm malformation are about to explode. If it ruptures, the patient died in the operating table ”- said Dr. Nguyen Manh Hung, head of the department of neurological surgery and intravascular neurological intervention – Hospital FV, who operated on F.
Before the doctor’s explanation, F.’s parents were extremely shocked, because no one in the family had this disease. Sharing with us by phone on October 26 (with the help of an interpreter), Amy, Ms F.’s mother, recalled: “The doctor said that if my son did not operate, he would surely die. surgery, the chances of life are still very low. As there was no other option, my husband decided to let the doctor perform the operation in the hope that the water was still fine. “
Shortly thereafter, an interdisciplinary consultation and hospital leadership was conducted for 5 minutes. Doctors rushed into the operating room with a strong determination to save the patient’s life. “The decision to have surgery is a great challenge for the team, but we have no other way to save the patient’s life,” said Dr. Hung.
1 minute “golden” and 3 high speed operations
When Mr. F. had just been transferred to the operating room, Dr. Hung said that the signs of survival were at the lowest level: deep coma, loss of consciousness, dilated pupils …
With intuition and 15 years of working experience, Dr. Hung made a small hole in the skull and then placed a drain to drain the cerebrospinal fluid and hematoma in the ventricles.
All of this happens in just 1 minute, helping to remove part of the bruise. Miss F. has temporarily passed the “deadliest birth.” Dr. Hung said that if emergency care is delayed for more than a few minutes, the patient is at high risk of death.
However, the brain fluid has not completely proceeded as expected, so two days later, Dr. Hung performed another procedure to drain the cerebrospinal fluid. And wait till she stabilizes, Miss F. went into the third surgery to treat her brain aneurysm.
This surgery is not as urgent as the previous two, but it requires meticulousness and precision in each operation. Dr. Hung performed a craniotomy to access the brain and blood vessels to expose the internal carotid artery and prevent bleeding during surgery.
After that, the malformation mass and aneurysm were identified, the vascular branches that lifted the malformation were completely isolated, clamped, burned, and removed by the physician and carefully removed from the surrounding brain tissue. Finally, the doctor regenerated the cerebral vessels and relocated the skull. After 4 hours, the surgery is complete.
Waking up after surgery, Mrs. F. began to realize this again. Within 20 days of hospitalization, combined with physical therapy, Ms. F. gradually recovered, moved her hands and feet, communicated well with everyone. Until now, even though I was discharged from the hospital and returned to Taiwan, I still actively communicated with Dr. Hung.
Currently I am as healthy as my friends, my memory is recovering little by little.
Time determines the level Survival
A doctor specializing in neurosurgery in Ho Chi Minh City said brain hemorrhage is common in the elderly, but still occurs in young patients, often with no medical history. Patients who fall into this situation need to be recognized early and intervened in a timely manner, time is the decisive factor for the degree of complications and the life of the patient.
