According to Mr. Minh, the four tourists in the accident were in the group of 64 tourists who joined the tour to explore the mountains and forests organized by Bidoup National Park, Nui Ba. This delegation left on the morning of November 28 for the trip to conquer the Bidoup summit. The tourist victim area is about 40 km from the city of Da Lat.
At 13:30 on November 29, when the group of tourists returned while crossing the suspension bridge from Long Lanh village, on the territory of Da Chais commune (Lac Duong district), the bridge had an incident caused by the flood, causing the fall of 4 people. . Two of these people were lucky enough to cling to the tree branch, climbed to the top of the tree to escape the water.
Mr. Le Chi Quang Minh, Vice Chairman of the Lac Duong District People’s Committee, Lieutenant Colonel Pham Phu Ty, Deputy Chief of the District Police, arrived at the scene to lead the rescue and rescue work.
The two people entrenched in the tree were successfully rescued by functional forces. At 4 p.m. on the same day, the competent force had not found or contacted the other two missing persons.
Before that, from the afternoon of November 28 in Lam Dong province, heavy rains lasted until the afternoon of November 29, causing the water in rivers, streams and lakes to rise. Flash floods occurred in rivers and streams. Currently, Lam Dong continues to have heavy rains affecting the search for victims.
