Major General Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Deputy Minister of Public Security, emphasized that phase 2 is a key stage that determines the success of the two projects.

Citizen information in the NLV will be extracted and used for CCCD production, so people only need to provide round images and fingerprints without having to fill out current forms.

“This is the step of administrative reform, which creates the maximum favorable conditions for people to implement the CCCD concession procedures,” emphasized Mr. Ngoc.

According to Mr. Ngoc, the NLV database is built to connect and share information with specialized databases from all sectors and fields at the national level, increasing the ability to exploit and update information on the population. and to reduce the expenses of the state budget in the construction of information infrastructure for specialized databases.

The Deputy Minister of Public Security asked the Police to complete the data so that on February 26, 2021 it could be tested and on July 1, 2021, it could share data with all levels and branches nationwide.

The chip mounted on the CCCD card does not have the function of locating and tracking to determine the position of the citizen. The integration and use of information on the chip must comply with the provisions of Vietnamese law, ensure the security of information.
