SHB occurred on November 18, 2020 in the Tan Dinh neighborhood (Ben Cat city).
Through investigation and verification work, dozens of criminal policemen carried out an emergency arrest of suspect Tran Cong Duc while he was hiding in an inn in Thoi Hoa neighborhood (Ben Cat city).
When searching the German residence, the police seized 01 gun and 10 bullets.
Through initial work, Tran Cong Duc confessed that due to lack of spending money, he had intended to rob a bank. Around October 2020, Germany ordered a previously mentioned gun and ammunition over the internet to rob a bank.
On 11/17/2020, Duc packed clothes, bags and borrowed the motorcycle from an acquaintance and ran to Vung Tau city. Here Germany parked his motorcycle and rented another car (vehicle Nouvo in red) then ran to Ben Cat Town (Binh Duong). Along the way, Germany removed the license plate from this vehicle.
Around 11:30 am on November 18, Duc went to the SHB bank area (Tan Dinh neighborhood, Ben Cat City), then entered the hall, suddenly pulled out a gun and threatened the staff with stealing money.
However, when the money was not taken, bank security discovered that it was looting. Seeing this, Duc ran away.
After that, Duc drove the car to Vung Tau City to return the car and then went back to hiding in an inn in Thoi Hoa neighborhood (Ben Cat village) until he was arrested by the police.
The case continues to be investigated for clarification.
