Regarding the aforementioned incident, on November 17, the inspection team of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce verified the hydroelectricity of Thuong Nhat (Thuong Nhat Commune, Nam Dong District, Thua Thien Hue Province).
The delegation verified the safety measures for dams, floods and storms, the accumulation of water to generate electricity at the Thuong Nhat hydroelectric plant, invested by Central Vietnam Hydropower JSC.
The results of the field inspection and current regulations show that Central Vietnam Hydropower Investment Joint Stock Company has not or has not complied with the processes and regulations to ensure the safety of lakes and dams, preventing storms. flood.
The inspection team proposed to the Ministry of Industry and Commerce to carry out acts of administrative infraction regarding the safety of hydroelectric dams in accordance with Decree No. 134 / ND-CP.
Particularly for violations of the electrical activity permit, the delegation will inform the Minister of Industry and Commerce about the revocation of the electrical activity license for the Thuong Nhat Hydroelectric Power Plant.
