Employees will be entitled to Lunar New Year holidays from February 10 to February 16, 2021, from December 29 of the Canh Ty year to January 5 of the Tan Suu year.

The Prime Minister also agreed with the proposal of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, on a National Day holiday from September 2 to 5, 2021.

In September, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs proposed a 7-day holiday for the Tan Suu Lunar New Year, of which 5 days off and two weekends, divided into two options. The first option is the one mentioned above and has been agreed by the Prime Minister. Option two, from February 11 to 17, that is, 30 Tet to 6.
On National Day 2021, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs proposed a two-day break, on September 2, plus one immediately before or after. These vacations also have two options. If they retire immediately after September 2, officials will be entitled to four days off, September 2-5, Thursday through Sunday. If they leave immediately before September 2, civil servants and public employees can take two days off on September 1 and 2, that is, Wednesday and Thursday. The priority set chooses a four-day break. Because long breaks are convenient for workers to travel, prepare your children for the new school year and some other activities.
Starting in 2021, Vietnam will have one more public holiday on September 2, in addition to the 10 days off as prescribed. The government will decide to leave on September 1 or September 3, depending on the calendar year.
