Dozens of cedar trees with a diameter of 60-100 cm, hundreds of years old in lot b2, plot 2, subarea 249 (Da Don commune, Lam Ha district, Lam Dong province) were mercilessly cut down.

The cedar wood stumps are about 1 m in diameter, embraced by two people. This area is about 3 km from the local concrete road, on parcel b2, parcel 2, sub-zone 249 (the forest mass is managed by the Lam Ha Protection Forest Management Board).
An old cedarwood tree was cut down, but the deforestation subjects were still unable to leave the forest.
The cedar, about 90 cm in diameter, was cut in the middle of the forest.

Mr. Dong Van Tuyen, Head of the Lam Ha District Forest Protection Department, said deforestation targets illegally logged 11 trees with a total damage volume of more than 20,481m3. In which, the wood has 4 trees with about 6.4m3, cedar wood 7 trees with a volume greater than 14m3.
The area where the forest object was deforested is the natural population of birch trees in sub-area 249, Da Don commune, Lam Ha district.
Currently, the Lam Ha District Forest Protection Department has cooperated with the Lam Ha District Police and People’s Prosecutor’s Office to investigate the scene and investigate the serious deforestation.
The Lam Ha district police leader said that in connection with this deforestation of cedars, the authorities have identified 6 suspected of illegal logging. Currently, the functional forces continue to expand the research and clarify.
