After getting tired, 2 students came down from the mountain first, the remaining 27 students were still playing on the top of Khau Mo mountain. When it gets dark, they find their way down the mountain, they get lost and get trapped in the mountain.

“Trapped, the children did not panic, but instead held on together to find the location with the phone signal and called the teachers for help. Then the teacher informed the Bac Kan Police Department to organize the search and rescue of the children, ”said the leader.

Upon receiving information, the Bac Kan province police mobilized search and rescue forces to coordinate with the military forces to organize the search for groups of students.
At approximately 9:00 p.m. on November 22, the interdisciplinary task force had approached the location of the group of trapped students, rescuing the group safely.
The head of the Bac Kan Province Education and Training Department said schools in the area still regularly hold recreational activities and picnics for children to have fun after stressful study days.
