Pennsylvania election officials were allowed to certify election results, after a federal judge in the state ruled, “pouring cold water” in an attempt to block the election results of President Donald Trump.

The president of the United States, Donald Trump, cannot prevent Pennsylvania from certifying the election results.

Pennsylvania federal judge Matthew Brann denied the state’s request that the state endorse its election results. Judge Brann said the Trump team “made baseless arguments and the charges had no real evidence.”

“In the United States, such arguments cannot even strip a voter, much less Georgia is the state with the sixth largest number of voters in the United States,” the judge said.

Trump’s lawsuit accused election officials in many Pennsylvania counties of treating mail-in ballots inconsistently. While some do, some fail to notify voters that they can correct minor errors on the ballot. The lawsuit also referred to Republican observers who were denied access to the vote-by-mail process.

Pennsylvania Secretary of State Kathy Boockvar quoted county officials as saying millions of votes should be removed for small reasons, such as that Trump’s equipment was inappropriate.

After the court ruling, Pennsylvania’s Democratic Attorney General Josh Shapiro posted a sarcastic comment: “If you’ve failed, try to do more.”

The latest developments are seen as a blow to Trump’s attempt to challenge the election results. Pennsylvania election officials can certify election results, with the final result of more than 80,000 votes in favor of candidate Joe Biden.

State election officials are expected to certify the results on November 23. State voters will go to the Capitol in Washington DC to elect the president on December 14.
