Here, Mr. Nguyen Van Nen and Mr. Nguyen Thien Nhan review together the operating process and the contributions of Professor Nguyen Thien Thanh (1919 – 2013).

Professor Thanh was directly involved in the most severe stages of the two wars of resistance against France and the United States. After reunification, the professor became the first director of Thong Nhat Hospital.

Not only does he lay the foundation for the training of geriatric specialties in the hospital, but he is also a devoted teacher of his students, a scientist who has many jobs applied to medical examination and treatment of people.

At the morning meeting on November 20, Mr. Nguyen Van Nen visited Mr. Nguyen Thien Nhan’s family on the occasion of the Vietnamese Teacher’s Day and lit incense for the late Professor Nguyen Thien Thanh.

Mr. Nhan also personally gave Mr. Nguyen Van So a book about the life of his father, Professor Nguyen Thien Thanh.

On the morning of November 20, Secretary Nguyen Van Nen visited the family of Prof. Dr. Tran Hong Quan, former Minister of Education and Training, President of Vietnam Association of Universities and Colleges.

It should reiterate Professor Quan’s contributions to the education of Vietnam, and at the same time hope that the Professor will continue to contribute his livelihoods and contribute to the development of the whole country in general and Ho Chi Minh City in particular.
