Two members of the US House of Representatives Committee on Justice and Oversight have asked Congress to investigate “errors” and “irregularities” related to this year’s presidential elections.

Jim Jordan, a Republican from Ohio, a member of the House judicial committee, and James Comer, a Republican from Kentucky, a member of the House Oversight Committee, are asking Congress to open a hearing. “Immediately,” according to Fox News.
Jordan and Comer sent letters to the chairpersons of the two committees, asking for an investigation into “mistakes” and “misconduct” related to the presidential election, following the campaign allegations. President Trump said.
“We called for a hearing immediately to verify the integrity of this year’s elections, after there have been complaints of irregularities and non-conformities,” the two Republicans wrote in the letter.
In 2019, the House Judiciary Committee approved two impeachment terms for President Trump, but not for the Senate.
Jordan and Comer argue that it is necessary to open an investigation of the election because the current regulations are “creating an ambiguity that lasts, days, even weeks after the day of the election.”
Two Republicans in the House of Representatives want a hearing on this year’s election.
“Democrats used to ignore these warnings, but sadly many of our predictions came true,” wrote Jordan and Comer.
Republican MPs are still divided over the recognition of candidate Joe Biden as president-elect. This is the first time that Republican minorities in the House of Representatives have made a legal move toward this year’s election.
Trump desperately needs the broad support of Republican MPs in order to have any hope of swaying electoral votes.
On November 18, Trump presented $ 3 million to the Wisconsin election commission, demanding a recount of votes in Milwaukee and Dane counties. The Wisconsin Elections Commission approved this request and the tally period is up to 13 days.
Dean Knudson, a Republican and election commissioner from Wisconsin, said Trump raised the issue “that no one ever mentioned in the election.”
Mark Thomsen, a Democrat, a member of the election committee, said Trump seeks to change the rules of the game. “Mr. Trump has lost, but he said you need to review the rules because it’s not fair,” Thomsen said.
