Mr. Nguyen Huy Dung (37 years old) – Director of the Computerization Department was appointed Deputy Minister of Information and Communication.
On the afternoon of November 17, Mr. Nguyen Huy Dung, born in 1983, received the decision to appoint Deputy Minister of Information and Communication.
Accordingly, the Prime Minister has just signed a decision to appoint Mr. Nguyen Huy Dung, Director of the Department of Information Technology, as Vice Minister of Information and Communications.
Prior to that, in June 2019, Mr. Nguyen Huy Dung held the position of Director of the Department of Information Security at the age of 36, becoming the youngest director of the Ministry of Information and Communications.
By February 2020, Mr. Nguyen Huy Dung was transferred and appointed as Director of the Computerization Department.
With the recent appointment decision, Mr. Nguyen Huy Dung became Vice Minister of Information and Communications at the age of 37.
Mr. Nguyen Huy Dung is a former student of the Higher School of Mathematics of Hanoi Pedagogical University and a former student of Hanoi University of Technology. Mr. Dung received a full scholarship to specialize in Information Technology at NTU University, Singapore.
Mr. Dung is one of the 10 typical faces of young people who receive the 2010 Golden Globe organized by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.
13 years working in the Ministry of Information and Communications, Mr. Dung, respectively, held the positions: Specialist, Deputy Chief, Head of Department, Ministry Leadership Secretary, Deputy Director of the Information Security Department, Director of the Security Department of Information and Director of the Computerization Department.
Mr. Nguyen Huy Dung is the advisor, editor and leader of the implementation of the National Digital Transformation Program until 2025 with a vision towards 2030.
