IT Director Nguyen Huy Dung (born 1983) has just been appointed Deputy Minister of Information and Communication.
This afternoon (November 17), Minister Nguyen Manh Hung just handed over the decision to appoint the prime minister to Mr. Nguyen Huy Dung. With this decision, in addition to Mr. Nguyen Huy Dung, the Ministry of Information and Communications has 3 more vice ministers: Mr. Phan Tam, Mr. Hoang Vinh Bao, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan.
Born in 1983, Mr. Nguyen Huy Dung worked for 13 years at the Ministry of Information and Communications (formerly the Ministry of Posts and Telematics). He went through various positions of specialist, department deputy director, department head, ministry leadership secretary, deputy director of information security, director of information security and, most recently, director of informatization. At the age of 37, Mr. Dung is the youngest Deputy Minister in the Government.
The new Vice Minister of Information and Communication used to study, advise, preside over, edit and implement the Party’s directive documents, complete the legal corridor, system of rules and technical regulations. in terms of network security and protection in Vietnam, typically the Cyber Information Security Law and its governing documents. He also advises, presides, edits and organizes the implementation of the National Digital Transformation Program by 2025 with a vision of 2030.
As a student at Hanoi University of Technology, Mr. Dung received a full scholarship and specialized in Information Technology at NTU University (Singapore). He is also one of the 10 typical young faces that have received the 2010 Golden Globe organized by the Central Communist Youth Union of Ho Chi Minh.
