The information on 5 new cases (BN1284-1288) are all immigration cases, isolated in Hoa Binh and Khanh Hoa provinces. As follows:
– DISEASE 1284 (BN1284): male, 33 years old, Vietnamese nationality, domicile in Hung Nguyen District, Nghe An Province.
– DISEASE 1285 (BN1285): male, 29 years old, Vietnamese nationality, domicile in Bac Giang city, Bac Giang province.
On October 31, BN1284-1285 from Russia entered Van Don Airport on flight VN5062, isolated at the 814 Regiment, Hoa Binh province just after the entry. Tests conducted at the Hoa Binh Center for Disease Control from day 1 to 11 showed negative results, the second time, on November 14, it returned suspicious results.
Results from the third test on November 16 at the Hoa Binh Center for Disease Control and the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology were positive for SARS-CoV-2. The patient is currently isolated and treated at the Hoa Binh Provincial General Hospital.
– DISEASE 1286 (BN1286): female, 25 years old, Vietnamese nationality, domicile in My Duc district, Hanoi.
– DISEASE 1287 (BN1287): female, 66 years old, Vietnamese nationality, domicile in Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi.
– DISEASE 1288 (BN1288): female, 32 years old, Vietnamese nationality, domicile in My Duc district, Hanoi.
On 11-11, BN1286-1288 from Russia entered Cam Ranh Airport on flight VN5062, isolated at Regiment 974 – Khanh Hoa Provincial Military Command immediately after entry. On 11-12, taking the first sample, the test result was negative; On November 15, taking the second sample, the results of the November 16 test at the Nha Trang Pasteur Institute were positive for SARS-CoV-2.
The patient is currently isolated and treated at Khanh Hoa Province Tropical Diseases Hospital.
With 5 new patients, the country has registered 1,288 cases since the beginning of the outbreak, of which 1,124 people have been cured and discharged from the hospital. However, new cases show that the time from infection to onset / positive test result is no longer as it used to be at 14 days.
In particular, the two cases mentioned above from Russia must be on the 16th from the moment they return to have a positive result. Before that, 1 patient also returned from Russia almost 2 months after discharge with a positive test result (patient 1032).
