According to Reuters, the above scene was recorded when trucks and armored vehicles were transporting Russian peacekeepers to the Nagorno-Karabakh region after a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

The body of a soldier was seen lying in the middle of the road as the convoy sped up the hill. Shrapnel cars passed by and trucks were also sprawled on the side of the road, near a burned tank and other damaged military vehicles.

Some of the bodies were in a vehicle similar to a military ambulance. The legs of one corpse were bandaged, while another was distorted.

In the Lachin region, near Armenia, a group of Armenians said they fought for the Nagorno-Karabakh defense forces. The group of people raised their hands to greet the passing Russian convoy, but shared that they were not satisfied with the peace agreement.

Suren Zarakyan, 50, moved to the Lachin region from Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, in the 1990s after Armenians controlled the area in the first war in the Nagorno-Karabakh region. Married with two children, Suren said he had bees before the conflict. The man also said he was “embarrassed to hear about the armistice” to strengthen Azerbaijan’s territorial interests and pave the way for Russian military deployment there.

“I expect more from Russia and sooner. But they are interested in their bases and objectives. It doesn’t matter if the base is located in Azerbaijan or Armenia, but it is important not to let the Turks be present here.” “- said Mr. Suren.

Russian President Vladimir Putin lists more than 4,000 people dead on both sides, including civilians. In addition, 8,000 people were injured and tens of thousands had to leave their homes to be evacuated.

Near the town of Kalbajar, on another road, you could see the Armenian minorities leaving. Freight trucks were pushing cars to settle.
