Initial Information, On the afternoon of November 12, 3 workers stood on scaffolding to build walls on the second floor in a 6-story construction project located at Cong Lo Street, Ward 15, Tan Binh District, HCMC.
At this time, the cable winch broke, dragging the scaffold into collapse from a height of approximately 7 m, causing 3 workers and materials to fall to the ground. The incident caused 3 victims to be struck by the materials and scaffolding, causing injuries. All the victims were taken to District 12 Hospital for emergencies.
Representatives from Hospital District 12 said that on the afternoon of November 12, the hospital received 3 patients who claimed to have fallen on the scaffold. In which, 1 patient suffered a chest injury, hand pain, shortness of breath, 1 patient suffered a head injury, multiple injuries, and the other had a head injury. After receiving first aid, 3 patients were transferred to Hospital 175 to continue treatment.
On the same day, the representative of the People’s Committee of District 15 (Tan Binh district) said that the construction site where the incident occurred was a single house combined with an office.
Regarding the incident, the Tan Binh District Inspection Team also issued an administrative sanction decision on the organization of construction to prevent material falling on the construction site and petition the owner. Suspended construction.
