On the night of November 12, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc sent a telegram to ministries, branches and localities to focus on responding to Typhoon No. 13.

The telegram said that typhoon 13 is moving rapidly towards the sea and the mainland of our country. This is the strongest storm, the strongest wind in the area near the center of the storm at level 12, level 15.

It is expected that from the night of November 14 and 15, the storm will directly affect the coastal and inland waters of the North and Central Central region.

In order to proactively respond to storms and limit damage, the Prime Minister asked ministries, branches and localities according to their assigned functions and tasks, to be ready to force vehicles, actively organize to closely monitor progress of Storm to lead and rapidly deploy the response under the motto “four in place”.

Localities from Thanh Hoa to Phu Yen continue to check, request and guide ships still operating at sea, reviewing plans, resolutely evacuating people in cages, aquaculture huts and on boats before the storm hits to ensure safety of people’s lives.

Directing the implementation of measures to protect houses, offices, schools, warehouses, production facilities, businesses and services, columns, tall towers, trees, … to limit risks and damage caused by storms.

Review plans, proactively evacuate people from unsafe homes, dangerous areas, especially coastal areas, estuaries prone to the impact of large waves, rising waters, deep submerged areas, landslides, tube floods, flash floods.

Take measures to protect dikes, especially dikes, marine dikes under construction, landslides with high risk of affecting the safety of the population and important infrastructure; be prepared for forces and materials to respond and overcome the incident promptly.

Organize the safe and efficient operation of irrigation and hydropower reservoirs according to the process, for important dams and reservoirs, it is necessary to actively lower the water level to ensure safety.
