A foreign passenger displayed an abnormal psychological expression, yelling and saying that there was a bomb on a Pacific Airlines flight on November 12 afternoon.
According to Pacific Airlines representatives, flight BL6011 is scheduled to take off at 11:25 a.m. today from Noi Bai airport. After the passengers were seated in their seats, the flight crew was about to close the door to leave, a Filipino passenger with an unusual psychological expression, kept yelling and saying that there was a bomb.
The flight attendant has implemented response procedures, suspending the flight and coordinating with the competent airport forces to deal with the incident. Airport security brought the male passenger to the station for questioning.
While awaiting inspection of the aircraft, Pacific Airlines dispatched another aircraft and spare flight crew to carry passengers from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City as scheduled. The replacement flight was scheduled to depart at 5:00 pm on the same day, 5 hours and 35 minutes late.
Tran Hoai Phuong, director of the North Airport Authority, said the unit was meeting to discuss, verify the case and handle the male passenger in accordance with regulations.
In accordance with the procedure for a suspected bombing flight, the functional forces verify safety throughout the flight. Passengers and luggage are brought to the station for re-inspection and the aircraft is also fully controlled. Currently, the functional unit has not detected any unusual problems with the aforementioned flight BL6011.
