At the end of this morning, November 12, after the secret ballot, the National Assembly approved a resolution with a majority of votes in favor, approving the appointment of the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Nguyen Thi Hong, Minister of School – Technology Faculty Huynh Thanh Dat and Health Minister Nguyen Thanh Long.
According to the published secret ballot results, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong received 467 votes of agreement (which is equivalent to 97.08% of the total number of the National Assembly), Mr. Huynh Thanh Dat received 443 votes of agreement ( 92.09%) and Mr. Nguyen Thanh. Long received 459 votes (95.42%).
Adjunct Professor Dr. Huynh Thanh Dat, 58, from Ben Tre, is currently the director of the National University of Ho Chi Minh City. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Long, 54, from Nam Dinh, is currently Acting Minister of Health. MSc Nguyen Thi Hong, 52 years old, from Hanoi, from 2014 to present he is the Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam.
So Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong became the first female governor in the history of our country’s banking industry. Ms. Hong is also the only female member of the Government today.
On the morning of the same day, the National Assembly voted in secret, passed a resolution approving the proposal to appoint a judge of the Supreme People’s Court, at the request of the Chief Justice of the Supreme People’s Court, Nguyen Hoa Binh, for you: Tran Hong Ha , born in 1966, member of the Law Commission of the National Assembly; Pham Quoc Hung, born 1973, President of the Hoa Binh Province People’s Court; Ngo Hong Phuc, born in 1965, is the president of the High Level People’s Court in Hanoi.
