Georgia’s secretary general announced that the state will verify the 5 million votes by hand, when the current result is favorable to Biden.
“Mathematically, it really has to be done by hand because the differences are so narrow,” Georgia Secretary General Brad Raffensperger, who was part of the Republican Party, said at a Nov. 11 news conference. “We want to start this before the week is out.”
He called this a limited risk audit, which required manual counting of votes in all 159 counties. The process is expected to be completed on November 20, when the state must confirm the election results.
Raffensperger said the current result is Joe Biden ahead of President Trump with more than 14,000 votes. He confirmed that the authorities have been investigating all voting irregularities. “Every legal vote counts,” he said.
The announcement came as Trump and Republicans in Georgia brought allegations of voter fraud in the state. Several Republicans criticized Raffensperger, urged him to resign and accused him of not “organizing honest and transparent elections.”
The media has yet to determine a winner in Georgia, a state with 16 voters. Regardless of the results of the recount in Georgia, Biden still won enough electoral votes to be elected.
While. Trump did not accept the results, claiming there was “electoral fraud.” You are making legal efforts to object to the results.
