On the night of November 7, the electoral maps of the Reuters news agency updated the information: Mr. Joe Biden, candidate of the Democratic Party, reached 273 electoral votes after winning more in Pennsylvania (20 electoral votes). CNN also reported something similar. Therefore, Mr. Biden exceeded the minimum level of 270/538 electoral votes to win the election.

After nearly half a century of political turmoil and more than 30 years from the first days of beginning to realize the dream of becoming president of the United States, according to the 2020 election results updated by Western media, in theory Joe Biden could have become the new head of the White House.

Mr. Joe Biden (full name: Joseph Robinette Biden Jr.) was born in Scranton City, Pennsylvania on November 20, 1942 (he is currently 77 years old). He is the oldest of four children in an Irish-American family.

Joe Biden’s biggest challenge as a young man was overcoming the stuttering condition, which influenced his time in high school. But the technique of speaking in front of the mirror helped him overcome difficulties after a few months.

He attended the University of Delaware and then law school at Syracuse University. He married his first wife, Mrs. Neilia, and began a political career in the city of Wilmington, Delaware. However, his first wife died in a car accident and he later married Jill Jacobs, a teacher.

Biden entered the political path in the early 1970s as a senator. He served as a senator to represent the state of Delaware for six terms until 2009.

However, on the road to becoming president of the United States, it was not an easy time, spanning decades. He ran three times in the 1988, 2008 and 2020 elections.

In 1987, just before the 1988 election, Biden ran for president for the first time, but later announced his retirement from the race track after being accused of plagiarizing a speech by the leader of the British Labor Party. It was Neil Kinnock at the time.

About 20 years after the first presidential campaign, Biden started again for the second time in 2008. In the end, however, the dreams still failed.

On August 23, 2008, Barack Obama announced that he would select Joe Biden as “deputy general” to run. Joe Biden then served two terms as vice president of the United States under President Barack Obama, from 2009 to 2017.

Perhaps one of the most moving moments for Joe Biden was the surprise. President Barack Obama awarded the President’s Medal of Freedom, the highest title for an American citizen, in January 2017. At the time, Mr. Biden was extremely surprised and couldn’t hold back his tears.

Biden rejoined the White House runway in May 4-2019, when he officially announced his candidacy for the presidency of the United States in 2020.

After the primary election day, “Super Tuesday”, took place in March 2020, the race for the White House clearly shows two bright faces: Joe Biden and Senator Bernie Sanders. In April, Bernie Sanders, Biden’s last rival, halted the campaign, at which point Biden broadened and focused on taking on Trump.

With the win as western media updated, umng Joe Biden is theoretically the oldest president of the United States at the time of his inauguration, 78 years old.

However, with Trump’s string of lawsuits and the unpredictable developments likely to ensue, it’s unclear in the end what Biden’s 30-plus-year dream will be.
