On November 5, the Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province Border Guard said that the suspect leading this fake gasoline production line was Le Van Nguyen (43 years old, Director of Minh Nguyen Petroleum Transport Co., Ltd. , City HCMC) and Nguyen Van Nhan (35 years old, Director of Petroleum Transport Co., Ltd. 89) in Hall 12 of Vung Tau City.

Before that, on the morning of October 31, the Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province Border Guard discovered that the Tra Vinh tanker was sucking 2,000 liters of liquid into the warehouse of Petroleum Transport Co., Ltd. 89 In the warehouse, there was a large tank with liquid storage, chemical tanks and machinery strewn about.
The investigation was initially determined, Nguyen cooperated with Nhan to collect poor quality gasoline in many places, focused on Vung Tau, then used an octane (toluene) enhancer, colorant … to prepare to create branded gasoline for consumption in Binh Duong, Dong Nai and Tra Vinh provinces.
Nguyen and Nhan declared to manufacture fake gasoline according to the ratio of 7 parts gasoline, 3 parts toluene and dyes for 50-60 m3 to mix. They also provide mixed or no-load gasoline at the request of a partner. Each liter of gasoline generates profits of 400 to 600 VND.

The two directors supported Nguyen Minh Chien (25 years old, living in Tra Vinh), Nguyen Dinh Ngoc (45 years old, living in Ba Ria – Vung Tau) and Do Hong Son (28 years old, living in Quang Binh).
Currently, the amount of fake gasoline manufactured by this group has not been determined, but the functional strength is assessed as “very great”.
The case is being thoroughly investigated.
