The townspeople said that on the night of November 4, the rock and the ground suddenly collapsed behind the house. During the night, the government urgently sent people to leave the village to join the houses in safe places.
Mr. Ho Van Hai (Saw village) recounted: “Everyone slept, heard the noise. Knowing that there was a landslide, everyone panicked and ran out of the house. Fortunately, the mountain did not fall further and the authorities people quickly came to his aid. ”

According to the observations, in this area numerous cracks are appearing that extend about 200m, the water from the body of the mountain that flows creates mud and continues to flow through the town. The government is sending motor vehicles to clean up the mud and debris, closely monitoring the situation, not allowing people to return to their homes to move their belongings.
According to the Tra Hiep commune, there are 8 houses with 47 people to be urgently relocated. These townspeople lived for hundreds of years and had no previous landslides. The current situation of the slip point has a road that has just been opened.

On the afternoon of November 5, Mr. Dang Van Minh, chairman of the Quang Ngai Province People’s Committee, examined the landslide and encouraged people at bribery houses. At the scene, Mr. Minh asked the Tra Bong District and Tra Son Commune not to allow people to go near the area of the landslide.
“Absolutely not letting people lack food, lack of clothes. Reinforce forces to control the hills in the residential areas of the district. Any area at risk of having to actively relocate people to prevent landslides. It is a duty and a responsibility of the people. Don’t be subjective because the rain will last, ”Minh said.

According to a report from the Tra Bong district, hundreds of landslides have appeared, the government has moved nearly 1,000 households with nearly 4,200 people in areas at risk of landslides and flash floods to safe places. There are 31 roads in the district that are being eroded and damaged with almost 40,000 m3 Buried rocks cause traffic jams.
Earlier on November 3, the Quang Ngai Province People’s Committee issued a document requesting mountain districts to relocate tens of thousands of people in high-risk landslide areas to a new safe location.
