The Central Inspection Committee suggested to the Secretariat to consider and expel the Party by former Vice Minister of Industry and Commerce Ho Thi Kim Thoa.

Almost four months ago, on July 13, the Police Investigation Department of the Ministry of Public Security (C01) issued a decision to prosecute former Vice Minister Ho Thi Kim Thoa, after 3 days of prosecution for his behavior. Violation of regulations on the management and use of state property causes loss and waste according to article 219 of the Penal Code of 2015.
She was accused of approving the Saigon Beer – Alcohol – Beverage Corporation (Sabeco, a unit under the Ministry of Industry and Commerce) to divest from the project in the “golden” land area 2-4-6 Hai Ba Trung (District 1, City Ho Chi Minh) is 6,000 square meters wide, causing state assets to fall into private hands at low prices.
However, due to Ms. Thoa eloping, the investigation time for the case expired, so C01 decided to suspend the investigation until the arrest is reinstated and handled.
Former Minister of Industry and Commerce Vu Huy Hoang was prosecuted for the same behavior with Ms. Thoa, C01 completed the conclusion of the investigation, transferred the case to the Supreme VKSND to propose the prosecution of this man.
Eight other defendants were also indicted for Mr. Hoang’s alleged achievement and crime. Violation of the regulations on land use planning according to article 229 of the Penal Code of 2015.
The irregularities of Ms. Ho Thi Kim Thoa and Mr. Vu Huy Hoang were discovered in November 2018, when the authorities expanded the investigation of former Ho Chi Minh City Vice President Nguyen Huu Tin.
