Mr. Trinh Van Chien was assigned to continue to oversee the Thanh Hoa Party Committee

That is the information from the President of the National Assembly, Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, announced at the opening session of the XIX Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Congress on the morning of October 27, 2020.

Accordingly, speaking at the 19th Party Congress of Thanh Hoa Province, the Chairman of the National Assembly, Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, reported: The Politburo announced the appointment of Mr. Trinh Van Chien, a member of the Party Central Committee, The Secretary of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee for the period 2015-2020 will supervise and guide the Thanh Hoa Province Party Committee until the end of the XIII National Party Congress.

It is known that Mr. Trinh Van Chien was born on January 15, 1960, has a Ph.D. in agriculture, has been Secretary of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee since November 2014. At the XII National Party Congress (1/2016) , was elected member of the Central Committee of the Party.

At the time of organizing the XIX Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Congress, Mr. Chien was 60 years and 10 months old. However, Mr. Trinh Van Chien is currently a member of the Central Committee of the Party, thus according to the Politburo Directive 35-CT / TW of May 30, 2019 on the Party Congress at all levels. The XIII National Party Congress, the case of Mr. Chien, is studied, considered and submitted to the Central Committee for the decision of the Politburo.

Therefore, Mr. Trinh Van Chien will not continue to join the Thanh Hoa Province Party Committee, XIX period, 2020-2025 period. Immediately after the XIX Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Congress, Mr. Chien continued to serve as Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People’s Council for the period 2016-2021 until this provincial People’s Council held a meeting to elect a new Chairman.
