At the launch, Mr. Nguyen Huy Dung, Director of the Department of Informatization (Ministry of Information and Communications) welcomed the eKYC electronic identification and authentication solution, which was highly appreciated. He stressed that eKYC is like “a passport for each of us, from individuals to organizations”, from which to enter the digital world.

The VNPT eKYC electronic identification platform is a product for VNPT to fully master the technology, helping to verify, identify and extract accurate information from personal images and documents.

The platform is researched, developed and completed based on key 4.0 technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) technology, blockchain technology, and biometric recognition.

Possessing a large set of Vietnamese data and high precision OCR (word recognition), VNPT eKYC can identify clients, verify documents, verify fraud and support clients through video calls. . In particular, it is possible to notice unusual cases such as signs of erasure, blur, blur, obscured information, detection of documents taken through the computer screen, telephone, detection of cut corners on the identity card, out of time.

Mr. Hy revealed that the platform currently serves 500 to 1,000 transactions per day in the fields of banking, finance, insurance, … In the next time, the fields to be applied The eKYC solution will be combined with the national database of population, with the aim of creating a complete platform for authentication and electronic identity.

Previously, with efforts to solve many practical problems of telecommunications operators and banks, which always require high security and precision, the product was recognized and won the third prize. at the Vietnam Land Talent Awards 2019 in the field of information technology.

According to the leaders of the Computerization Department, the selected “Make in Vietnam” products are solutions that have proven to be effective in practice, but are no longer potential solutions. The products are also preliminarily evaluated by the Ministry of Information and Communications, with the aim of ensuring functional factors, performance, network security, data security and protection of personal data. After these steps, the department will give the platforms a milestone evaluation.

In the coming days, the Ministry of Information and Communications will continue with the “Technology Friday” program: every Friday, it will launch a “Make in Vietnam” technology platform, hoping to accelerate the digital transformation process. nation.
