Speaking with Tuoi Tre on October 23, Mr. Ha Sy Dong, permanent vice chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial People’s Committee, said that he had captured information related to Lieutenant General Le Chiem, Vice Minister of National Defense, said “cast base of dry salaries for relief from the Ministry of Defense “.

Mr. Dong claimed that it was a misunderstanding of Lieutenant General Le Chiem’s intentions and that, in fact, Quang Tri had never received a dry salary from the Ministry of National Defense until now, making it impossible for the officers to share.

“This must be said clearly, otherwise it will affect the trust of donors who come to share with the people of Quang Tri after the flood,” Dong said.

Also according to Mr. Dong, during the Quang Tri Province meeting with the Government delegation on the afternoon of October 22, the Defense Ministry agreed to support Quang Tri Province with dry wages and some necessities worth VND 850 million. Major Lieutenant General Le Chiem noted that food distribution must be directed to the right audience.

“Lt. Gen. Chiem said that it is necessary to avoid grassroots cadres sharing helpful articles, rather than sharing helpful articles such as the uproar and social media response,” said Mr. Dong.
