The legendary Peter Schmeichel believes that Manchester United are still in the transition phase and have not been able to achieve stability in terms of results.
The Schmeichel legend hopes that victory in the Parc des Princes can become a stepping stone for Man United to arrive. But he admits that MU is still a team in the transition phase and may have to face many shocking failures in the near future.
Schmeichel was not very happy after MU’s victory over PSG |
“The victory for PSG was impressive and that is what we need. I think United are in transition and we will see some unpleasant and phenomenal results. The recent win over PSG really blew up the fans.
I think it was a great performance and the defense played with confidence. De Gea played impressively. Wan-Bissaka and Tuanzebe face first-rate forwards but also show off their skills.
In attack, Man United also has players who create chances and score goals for themselves. I think Rashford showed it at the end of the last game.
We all hope that this victory will give the players confidence. I don’t think these players will fall asleep with victory. It is a young squad and the coach will tell them that victory is good. But that’s what they need to resurface four days later against Chelsea and when we face Leipzig a week later.
We cannot play a good game and then think that we are done. We are a perfect team and we still have a long way to go before competing in all competitions. But it was an impressive performance and a great step in the right direction.
Legendary Ryan Giggs insists Edinson Cavani can create an impact on par with Bruno Fernandes when Man United are hungry for a class forward.
Darren Bent commented on the PSG vs MU match, the former Tottenham star pointed out the reason why the French team had to lose.
Tammy Abraham praised Tuanzebe’s performance against PSG in the Champions League this past.
