On the afternoon of October 21, the Health Ministry said that Vietnam registered three more new cases (BN1142-1144) as admission cases, immediately isolated. Specifically:
Case 1142 (BN1142): 46-year-old woman, Vietnamese citizen, resident in Dong Son district, Thanh Hoa province. On October 16, a patient from Russia entered Van Don Airport on flight VN5062 and was transferred to isolation in Regiment 855 under the Ninh Binh Province Military Command. Sampling test times 1 day 16-10 negative results; Sampling for the second time on October 19, tested on October 20 at Ninh Binh General Hospital, the result was positive for SARS-CoV-2. The patient is currently isolated and treated at the Cau Yen Regional General Clinic, Hoa Lu District, Ninh Binh Province.

Case 1143 (BN1143): 33-year-old woman heading to Ky Anh city, Ha Tinh province.
Case 1144 (BN1144): Male, 8 months, son of patient 1143.
On October 20, BN1143-1144 from Angola entered Van Don Airport on flight VN8 and was transferred to solitary confinement at Regiment 831, Tan Yen District, Bac Giang Province. Test results on October 20 at the Bac Giang Province Center for Disease Control came back positive for SARS-CoV-2. Currently, the patient is being isolated and treated at Dong Anh Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases.
Therefore, the total number of cases COVID-19 Vietnam is 1,144 cases, of which 691 cases are caused by domestic infections. The number of cured cases is 1,046, the number of deaths is 35. Of the 63 cases of Covid-19 that are being treated, there are 18 cases of SARS-CoV-2 negative 1 to 3 times.
So far, for 49 days, Vietnam has reported no cases of Covid-19 in the community.
