Yesterday, October 20, the search and rescue force under the Thua Thien Hue province police continued to use canoes and large boats upstream from the Huong Dien hydroelectric lake to the Rao Trang 3 hydroelectric power station.
This train also carries more rice, clean water, green vegetables, gasoline and 6 workers driving excavators and bulldozers to help clear the way from the Rao Trang 4 hydroelectric power station to the Rao Trang 3 hydroelectric power station. The large capacity was also transported by Thua Thien Hue province police to Rao Trang 3 for water.
According to Mr. Phan Thien Dinh, Vice Chairman of the Thua Thien Hue People’s Committee, when the two bombs are planted, the search and rescue force will use the force of the water from this machine to spray the rock mass on the surface of the scene of the landslide looking for missing persons.
This method will help and reduce the number of people in the search and rescue process while they wait for the machines to arrive on Route 71.
Thua Thien Hue province police will also send forces to stay at Rao Trang 4 hydroelectric power station to operate 2 large capacity water pumps. The military information forces are trying to re-establish communication lines between the two hydroelectric power plants Rao Trang 3 and Rao Trang 4.
Mr. Dinh said the engineering force is still investigating the blasting plan to break up rocks from the landslide, including some 60 tons of rock blocking the way to the Rao Trang 4 hydroelectric plant.
According to Mr. Dinh, the mine action plan must be carefully studied to ensure safety while Highway No. 71 is still eroding.
And Mr. Le Cong Dien -deputy director of the Department of Transportation of Thua Thien Hue province- said that the department has mobilized 5 scooters and 6 drivers to follow Highway 71. According to statistics, the entire Route 71 has up to 40 points of serious landslides. .
“We are doing everything we can to clear Route 71, supporting to find 15 missing workers at Rao Trang 3 hydroelectric power station because everyone understands that their relatives are looking forward to it,” said Mr. Dien.
