After the mass memorial service in Thua Thien – Hue, Major General Nguyen Huu Hung’s spirit was brought to Ha Tinh to be cremated. Last night, September 18, the convoy took the coffin to continue its journey back to Hanoi.
At approximately 8:00 am this morning, August 19, the car brought Major General Nguyen Huu Hung’s spirit to his own home in Thuy Khue village, Sai Son commune.

From the early morning of the same day, many people lined up in the rain to welcome the spirit of Major General Nguyen Huu Hung to rest at home, to visit the funeral.
On the morning of the same day, the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army in coordination with his family and the H. Quoc Oai People’s Committee held a solemn ceremony to commemorate and bury Major General Nguyen Huu Hung in the cemetery of the martyrs of Saigon.
In the early morning of October 19, many people in Saigon were waiting in line for the convoy to carry Major General Nguyen Huu Hung’s spirit back to his hometown. |
